   Which photoresistor values are recommended, i.e. resistance value when dark and resistance at illuminance?

   We use: GL5516 photo resistors:
   Light Res.: 5-10K ohm Dark Res: > .5M ohm

   Hi
   If I use a CMOS version of the IC can I use the 5 v supply from the board inside my VSS 30?

   Hey George,

   The optical theremin should have no problem running off 5V.

   Can this be used as an input to the APC? We basically want to use the photoresistors to control the tones coming out of the APC (and eventually replace the photoresistors with a real theremin).

   Hi Michael, sure! The audio signal can still control the CV input of the APC, though I haven’t tried that with these two circuits, so I’m not sure of the range.
